Events Co-ordinator (Part Time), Edinburgh


Events Co-ordinator (Part Time)

£14,500 Pro Rata (25 Hours per Week)
Origin RPM’s client is Scotland’s largest independent training and conference venue based in the heart of Edinburgh.  Their friendly, professional and dedicated team host up to 16 different events each day for a wide variety of clients. Ensuring that both leader's and delegate's needs are met promptly is key to their success and due to expansion and internal promotion they require a new Events Co-ordinator to assist them with this. 
Hours of work will be 8am-1pm, 5 days from 6 (Monday-Saturday)
Key responsibilities:
  • Meeting, greeting and signing in delegates
  • Gathering and confirming all event details by telephone and email (such as event titles, start & end times, equipment and dietary requirements etc)
  • Chasing booking forms by telephone and email
  • Answering the telephone
  • Providing support to event leaders with duties such as photocopying, faxing, arranging transport, etc
  • Acting as back up for Venue Support (Can include clearing and replenishing buffets and the coffee lounge when required).
  • Carrying out general customer service and administration support duties as required.
Our ideal candidate will be a team player with good administrative & customer service skills who has the ability to multi-task within a very busy environment. You’ll enjoy a challenge, variety in your job and most importantly enjoy delighting customers both face to face and over the telephone. Strong IT skills are essential and you will have the ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.

Origin RPM's client is one of the largest online shaving and grooming suppliers in Europe, with a warehouse packed with 1,000’s of top quality, shaving, grooming and waxing products for men and women. The company prides itself in stocking not only shaving and grooming essentials, but niche products that our competitors cannot source such as vintage razors and brands from Spain, Portugal, USA and Italy.

We now require an experienced Sales & Marketing Manager, one who can help drive the business further forward. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this is a great opportunity for a Marketing professional to implement and take control of a marketing function for an exciting company in a growing industry.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement online marketing strategies with focus on high growth in revenue and ROI in marketing costs.
  • Manage key marketing channels including: SEO, Social Media, Affiliate Marketing,Media, Email Marketing, and others
  • Serve as an in-house SEO expert, develop and maintain SEO strategy and project
  • plan
  • Reporting, analysis and on-going optimisation of all marketing channels.
  • Research, identify and implement new online traffic and customer acquisition opportunities.
  • Ongoing planning and implementation of customer acquisition activities.
  • Manage Marketing Executive and outside agencies.
  • Other projects and duties as assigned by MD.

The ideal candidate for this exciting role will be degree-qualified, in Business, Marketing, or a related subject, and have a strong track-record in all aspects of product marketing. Drive, enthusiasm, and a strong work ethic are necessary to be a success in the role. Strong IT skills are essential, and you’ll need to demonstrate a flair for digital & social media. We will consider candidates with previous management experience, or individuals who are ready to make the step up.

Origin RPM’s client is an established and successful manufacturing operation based in South Lanarkshire, and is now looking for an experienced Personal Assistant for a maternity cover contract expected to be 6-9 months in duration.  
This is a great opportunity with part time hours which are negotiable for the successful candidate – please let us know what days & hours you would prefer.  
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, your main duties will include:
  • Proactive diary, email and time management
  • Organising meetings, events, travel arrangements, and accommodation
  • Collating information and producing reports
  • Ordering of office supplies
  • Setting up meeting rooms, arrange catering / refreshments
  • Attend meetings and take minutes
  • Additional secretarial, administration and PA support as required
To be considered for this role, my client is seeking an efficient, proactive and professional candidate who offers experience working as a PA and who demonstrates the following skills:
  • Ability to multi task within a fast paced environment
  • Excellent organisation, communication and interpersonal skills
